These are in no particular order, they are just some of the my most memorable Television moments of 2010.
Tyler’s wolf transformation on The Vampire Diaries.
It was the emotional, heartbreaking, terrifying, and one of the most amazing moments on television this year. Tyler and Caroline went from being two characters I could have care less about to being two characters I care the most about, sorry Elena, Stefan, and Damon; these two have you beat.
Charlotte King’s rape
Shonda Rhimes really knows how to pull at your heartstrings and Shonda and Kadee Strickland’s portrayal of a woman who was sexually attacked was one of the most heartbreaking and emotional events on television this year. KaDee’s performance was phenomenal but it could not have been great without Shonda’s superior writing.
Gemma points a gun at a baby.
Jimmy Fallon’s opening sequence on the Emmy’s
Jimmy Fallon along with a few of the cast members of Glee, Nina Dobrev, Tina Fey, Jon Hamm, Hurley from Lost, Joel McHale, and Betty White all singing Born to Run was the perfect way to kick off the awards show.
Titus Welliver as the new “bad” guy (Lost, The Good Wife, Sons of Anarchy)
Landon Donovan’s goal against Algeria
Russell from True Blood rips the spine out of a news anchor
Denis O’Hare is amazing and he was one of the main reasons I stuck with True Blood this season.
“Why would we seek equal rights? You are not our equals. We will eat you. After we eat your children. Now, time for the weather. Tiffany?” Utter brilliance.
Shooting at Seattle Grace
Grey’s had, in my opinion, pretty much jumped the shark its sixth season and then Shonda Rhimes let a man with a gun loose in the hospital. The whole episode was an emotional roller coaster that had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. It revived the series and gave it fresh start. Now in Season 7, Grey’s is better than ever. Who knew?
Kalinda up to Bat on The Good Wife
Kalinda was already awesome in my books after season one of then she did this:
The Jake-Vienna Special
I only saw bits and pieces of Jake’s season of The Bachelor and then I watched this insipid interview with the two after their break up. It was the funniest reality moment I’ve watched in a long time.
After 5 and half seasons of logical Brennen, she finally faces reality and realizes she’s made some mistakes. Her breakdown was utterly beautiful and utterly heartbreaking. Lets hope now that we’ve seen her reach her lowest, we’ll get some happy moments in 2011.
Don proposes to…Megan?
After losing everything and having to start all over again, Don tries to pick up the pieces of his life. He then shocks everyone in the season finale when he proposes to his secretary Megan. Lets see if she really plays out to be the anti-Betty.
Eric Taylor listening to his team chat and act silly in the episode, Kingdom on FNL
There are many moments of Friday Night Lights from Season 4 that I could put list, and even though they were great, none struck me as hard as Eric Taylor sitting on the balcony of a hotel room listening to Vince, Luke, Hastings, Tink, and Buddy Jr talk for a few minutes about life in Texas. It was everything I loved about Friday Night Lights wrapped up into one nice scene. Pure Brilliance and expect their series finale to be on my top ten list next year!
Two sole episodes of Lone Star
We only got two episodes of this new show before Fix decided to yank it away due to poor ratings. But those two episodes I saw were excellent and show that the series had a ton of potential, too bad we’ll never know what happened.
Darren Criss and his version of Teenage Dream
Darren melted my heart with his perfect smile and his flawless rendition of Katy Perry’s Teenage Dream. I guess it was everyone else’s favorite too because it quickly became Glee’s most downloaded song!
Last 15 minutes of Lost
Say what you will about the series, it certainly had its ups and downs but those last ten minutes of the series finale of Lost were heartbreaking. Jack being reunited with all of his friends and loved ones and then closing the series out the way it began was extremely beautiful.
Subway Wars on How I Met Your Mother
This season of How I Met Your Mother has had its ups and downs but the episode in which they list off what it means to be a new yorker while racing to get to a particular restaurant in the city was one of their best episodes ever.
